You'll become the financial navigator of DIGI Belgium, guiding us towards sustainable growth with every decision and report.

As our Financial Controller, you will be:

• Serving as the liaison between the finance and other departments.

• Responsible for planning budgets, executing financial analysis, and developing financial models to help explain their projections for the company’s financial success in the coming months.

• Evaluates auditing systems in place and modify them whenever necessary. Implements new/additional monitoring systems and processes where deemed relevant.

• Develops models and projections to estimate what company finances will look like over multiple time horizons (i.e. typically over the course of the ongoing year, but also with 3 or 5 year horizons).

• Prepares financial statements, analyses, and reports.

• Makes recommendations for improving policies and systems in place.

• Ensures optimal profitability for the corporation.

• Ensures the organization is fully compliant with the Belgian Tax Regulation, as well as other European, federal and local regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

• Self-starter and able to work autonomously.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Affinity with data analysis to derive performance drivers and determine/confirm trends.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting and finance.

• Strong eye for detail.

• Excellent knowledge of digital technology.

• Excellent ability to work as a team.

Experience requirements

A successful candidate will generally have several years of experience in the field of accounting, finance, or business administration.
Experience in budgeting or financial planning - particularly within a telecommunications environment - is considered an asset to this position.

Education and training requirements
The candidate will at least have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
A master’s degree with a concentration in finance or an MBA is a desirable certification for candidates.
