As our Product Marketing Specialist, your primary mission will be to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies and campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of our new subscription models and value-added services within the Belgian B2B market, with a strong focus on SOHO and SME customers. A key aspect of this role will be to optimize and digitize the customer journey, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience from initial awareness to becoming a loyal Citymesh customer. Within the team you will be the driving force behind getting our compelling offer known and into the hands of businesses that will benefit most.

Here’s what you’ll dive into:

  • Market Intelligence & Audience Understanding: Conduct in-depth analysis of the Belgian B2B telco market, identifying key trends, competitor activities, and opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of the needs, pain points, and buying behaviors of our target SOHO and SME customers, segmenting these audiences effectively and creating detailed buyer personas.

  • Value Proposition & Messaging: Collaborate closely with product and sales teams to clearly articulate the unique value proposition of our combined mobile and VAS offerings for each target segment. Ensure our message resonates with the specific needs and challenges of SOHO and SME businesses.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy Development: Own the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market strategies for our new product portfolio. This includes defining clear objectives, target audiences, key activities, timelines, and resource allocation, with a strong consideration for digital touchpoints and automation.

  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Conceptualize, plan, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital-first approach, potentially some traditional, direct outreach, partnerships, etc.) to generate leads, build awareness, and drive conversions within the SOHO and SME market.

  • Channel Strategy & Optimization: Identify and leverage the most effective marketing channels to reach our target audiences, with a strong emphasis on digital channels such as online advertising (LinkedIn, Google Ads), content marketing (guiding content themes and formats for online consumption), email marketing, webinars, and potential digital partnerships. Continuously analyze channel performance and optimize for maximum impact and a seamless online experience.

  • Customer Flow Optimization & Digitization: Map out the entire customer journey, from initial contact to onboarding and beyond. Identify opportunities to optimize and digitize key touchpoints to improve efficiency, enhance customer experience, and drive conversions. This includes leveraging digital tools and automation where appropriate.

  • Sales Enablement: Equip our sales team with the necessary knowledge, tools, and resources (including digital resources and online demos) to effectively communicate the value of our new offerings to potential customers.

  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), track campaign performance meticulously, analyze results, and provide regular reports on progress and recommendations for improvement, with a focus on digital metrics and customer journey effectiveness.

  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated strategically and deliver a strong return on investment, particularly within digital channels.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with product development, sales, customer support, and the existing marketing team (who will handle copywriting, design, SEO/SEA) to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing initiatives, with a focus on creating a cohesive digital customer experience.

Job requirements

Preferred skills and qualities:

  • Proven experience in a product marketing role, ideally with a focus on the B2B market and a strong understanding of reaching SOHO and SME customers.

  • A strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices across various channels, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing and customer journey optimization.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful digital-first marketing campaigns.

  • Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of digital marketing tools, marketing automation platforms, and online analytics.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and implementing digital solutions to optimize the customer journey.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the benefits of digital solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Fluency in Dutch and/or French is highly desirable.

  • Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry is a plus.
